NFORM our community of critical, timely, and life-affirming news and information through a wide variety of media, including web, print, radio, and television

SSIST our community and bioregion in developing meaningful plans and responses to fluctuations of energy resources, the economy, and the environment

UILD capacity for community-enhancing initiatives through training people to become change agents, leaders, managers, stakeholders, and entrepreneurs

EARN through assessment and continuous improvement about the models and best practices for sustaining community at all levels

DUCATE about the many issues relating to personal, social, and environmental sustainability in ways that are positive and inspiring

ONTRIBUTE to the improvement of the quality of life, work, and the environment in our locality, bioregion, and around the planet

RGANIZE meetings, conferences, activist initiatives, calendars, film nights, lectures, classes, retreats, and other opportunities to educate, align, and take collective action

ODERATE between conflicting individuals and groups wherever they arise so we can begin to create a more peaceful world right in our own backyard

ITIGATE the chaos caused by our culture’s shortsightedness through long-range planning, investment in alternatives, and developing community resources

NDERSTAND & appreciate each other’s differences & create an inclusive environment for positive engagement, especially among elders, youth, minorities, & the differently-abled

ATURE awareness, teaching respect and reverence for the environment, plants, animals, and the diversity of life on Earth
